AIRPORT DUTY OFFICER
Department: Airport Operations Job Purpose: Monitor airside facilities for serviceability and audit airside activities to ensure safe, efficient aircraft operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct movement area inspections and aircraft turnaround audits
- Provide follow-me service to aircraft and vehicles
- Enforce airside safety regulations and maintain surveillance on all airside movements
- Initiate emergency action and conduct preliminary accident/incident investigations
- Manage wildlife and obstacle control on the airfield
- Coordinate with Customs, Immigration, Airport Security, ATC, and other stakeholders
Requirements: Minimum 5 years’ experience in airside operations management, certification in airside operations, sound knowledge of GCAA regulations, Safety Management System (SMS), and airside standard operating procedures.
PASSENGER SERVICE AGENT (UAE NATIONALS ONLY)
Department: Ground Handling Job Purpose: Manage terminal and airside operations along with the airport’s information desk to deliver a seamless passenger experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Passenger check-in, boarding gate operations, and flight preparation
- Load control functions as per shift duty allocation
- Queue management at all passenger processing zones
- Assistance for PRM (passengers with reduced mobility) and special-needs travellers
- Preparation of excess baggage and miscellaneous charge coupons
- Supervision at baggage make-up areas

FIRE DRIVER (FIREFIGHTER DRIVER / HEAVY)
Department: Rescue Firefighting Service (RFFS) Reports to: Watch Commander Job Purpose: Ensure effective firefighting and rescue operations across the airport, applying specialised techniques to manage emergencies with or without supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily checks of fire appliances, foam levels, and rescue equipment
- Respond to emergency incidents, fires, and pump & monitor operations
- Rescue trapped persons and administer first aid before hospital staff arrive
- Participate in fire and safety awareness drills and structured training programmes
- Maintain physical fitness per RAK Airport policy
Requirements: Minimum high school education (12th grade) with fluent English; UAE heavy driver’s license; at least 2 years’ experience as a firefighter at a Category 7+ airport; not less than 1.65m in height; medically fit with no fear of heights, confined spaces, or blood.
DUTY-FREE SALES AGENT
Department: Duty Free Reports to: Duty Free Shift Leader / DFM Job Purpose: Deliver excellent customer service and drive sales across the Duty-Free store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in selecting fragrances, cosmetics, alcohol, tobacco, and confectionery
- Promote and upsell duty-free products to maximise revenue
- Maintain compliance with customs regulations
- Manage inventory and coordinate with suppliers
- Build lasting customer relationships and act as a brand ambassador
INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME (UAE NATIONALS ONLY)
Departments: IT, Procurement, Finance, HR, Electronics, Projects & Engineering, Electromechanical, Commercial, Ground Handling, Operations, Safety, Security, Quality & Cargo
RAK Airport runs two internship tracks:
- Student Internship: 3–6 months, requires a university request letter, enrolment in an accredited UAE college/university, and a minimum 3.00 GPA
- Graduate Internship: 6–12 months, full-time, paid/unpaid, open to ages 18–30 with a certificate, diploma, or degree, fluent English, and willingness to work shifts
